Abu Hurairah (رضى الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"If anyone relieves a Muslim believer from one of the hardships of this worldly life, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection." - Related by Muslim.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, a beautiful country in the Balkans, carries a heavy history. During the war and genocide of the early 1990s, countless Bosniaks, especially men and boys, were tragically killed.

The impact of this heavy past is still felt today, as families continue to face immense trauma and hardship. It is because of this that the work of Bosnia Trust is so vital. The charity provides psychiatric care for widows, supports local families through greenhouse projects, and helps communities earn livelihoods through initiatives like the cow project.

This May, I will be joining the Walk for Purpose to support Bosnia Trust. I will have the opportunity, in shaa Allah, to see their work first-hand, meet locals, and learn more about their lives and resilience.
