As a trustee of Bosnia Trust, you will help shape the strategic direction of a charitable organisation committed to supporting sustainable development and human dignity in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We are currently looking to expand our board of trustees with individuals who bring fresh perspectives, professional expertise, and a deep commitment to our mission.
What Does a Trustee Do?
As a trustee, you’ll play a vital role in our leadership and accountability. Trustees are responsible for:
Guide and approve the charity’s strategic goals and policies
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Monitor financial performance and risk management
Act as an ambassador for the charity in your networks
Support the operational team where relevant with insight, expertise, or networks
Who are we looking for?
We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, especially those with expertise in:
Finance and accounting
Fundraising and philanthropy
Legal and governance
International development or humanitarian work
Communications, PR, or digital strategy
Lived experience relevant to our objectives
What’s Involved
Attend board meetings (online and/or in person)
Provide occasional support between meetings
Minimum commitment: 1 year
