Shorif’s Hyrox Challenge for Bosnia
Running for Mum and Dad
Shorif takes on Hyrox this December for orphans and widows in Bosnia
Why I’m doing this
This December I’m taking on Hyrox, one of the toughest fitness races out there: 8km of running broken up by 8 gruelling workout stations, all done back to back.
I’m doing it for my mum and dad, who both passed away in December. It’s a hard month for me, and this year I want to turn it into something that gives back in their name.
Every penny I raise goes to Bosnia Trust to support orphans and widows in Bosnia, families who have lost the people they depended on most. My parents taught me to look after others, and this is my way of carrying that on.
The challenge
8 x 1km runs, each followed by a workout station: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls.
Race day: Saturday 5 December 2026
My target: £1,000
Every donation, big or small, goes directly to supporting orphans and widows in Bosnia through Bosnia Trust.
Please get behind me
If you can, please sponsor me, share this page, or come and cheer me on. Every bit of support will keep me going through those last wall balls.
Thank you,
Shorif
