Some journeys aren’t about where you go…

They’re about why you go.

This May, I’ll be travelling to Bosnia for a 5-day journey that I know will stay with me forever. Not as a holiday, but as a Walk with Purpose. One that carries the weight of real stories, real people, and real hardship.

Why Bosnia?

Bosnia is a country with incredible beauty but behind that beauty lies a painful history. During the Bosnian War, thousands of lives were lost, families were torn apart, and entire communities were left broken.

Many men never returned home.

And decades later… the impact is still being felt.

There are widows who never remarried, who have carried grief and responsibility alone for years.

Elderly individuals who were left behind, with no one to care for them.

Families still struggling with poverty, trauma, and isolation.

For many, the war didn’t end in 1995. It simply changed form.

Why I’m Walking

Because I don’t want to just hear about these stories. I want to witness them.

For 4 days, I’ll be walking through Bosnia. Through its mountains, its towns, and into the lives of the people we’re supporting.

I will sit with widows who have carried silent pain for decades.

I will meet people who have been overlooked for far too long.

I will listen, really listen, to stories that deserve to be heard.

And I will carry those stories with me every step of the way.
