We're pleased to share that, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we have successfully raised £150 during the first month of our appeal. This is an important first milestone and will help towards the cost of Davud's essential diabetes monitoring sensors.
Why We Started This Appeal
Davud has lived with diabetes for most of his adult life. However, over the past year, his condition has deteriorated significantly, leaving him in considerable pain, physically exhausted and increasingly unable to work.
Living with his wife and four-year-old daughter, Davud has always tried his best to provide for his family and maintain his independence. Unfortunately, his worsening health has made this increasingly difficult.
Much of his limited income is now spent on medication, medical treatment and hospital appointments, leaving very little to cover the family's everyday needs.
One of his most urgent requirements is access to diabetes monitoring sensors, which allow him to monitor his blood sugar levels and manage his condition. These sensors cost approximately £150 every month, an ongoing expense that Davud cannot afford on his own.
£150 Raised in Our First Month
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to the appeal during its first month.
Together, we raised £150- enough to cover the approximate monthly cost of Davud's diabetes monitoring sensors.
While this is an encouraging start, Davud's needs do not end after one month. His condition requires ongoing monitoring, meaning these sensors are a recurring monthly expense.
This is why we have established this as an ongoing fundraising project, with the aim of raising £150 every month to help ensure Davud can continue accessing this essential equipment.
